  It was a typically frenetic set of fixtures in the SEMLA Premiership this weekend with arguably the key 3 league challengers battling to carve out a stranglehold in the division as well as a mid-table clash between two teams fighting to climb away from their rivals with East Grinstead visiting Hitchin. Last year’s league champions Spencer were at their Earlsfield home in South London where they faced premiership strugglers Bristol Bombers. Whilst their comparative league statures may give the impression the result would be a foregone conclusion, Bristol are renowned as producing combative performances and on their day can be a tough team to tackle, something Spencer were acutely aware of and keen to avoid at all costs. Easy Travels in the UK

One of the great things about going to grad school in England through Lacrosse the Pond is how easy it is to travel throughout the United Kingdom, and the rest of Europe. Last month I was able to meet my parents in Copenhagen, Denmark for a great weekend. Due to my flexible class schedule (I don’t have classes on Friday’s) I was able to take an early flight on Friday morning and get to Copenhagen by the afternoon. Upon arrival I met up with my mom at a cool little restaurant located on right on the canal with a solid view of all the painted buildings that Copenhagen is known for.
