Nick Beasant, Director of Elite Sport at Exeter University, says of Lacrosse the Pond:
“Studying at Exeter is about more than getting a degree – there’s a wealth of opportunities open to students to develop personally as well as professionally. The University of Exeter is ranked in the top one per cent of universities in the world, according to the Times Higher Education international rankings. We scored particularly highly for ‘international outlook’ and we welcome staff and students from over 130 countries. In the UK, we are placed firmly amongst the elite, currently ranked 9th in The Sunday Times, 10th in the Times Good University Guide and 11th in The Guardian.
Our ongoing partnership with LacrosseThePond clearly highlights such opportunities, as talented lacrosse players look balance both full time academic study alongside competing in a highly effective high performance pathway.
Studying abroad and being away at university can present a unique set of challenges, which coupled with top level sporting commitments, means our student athletes have to develop crucial life skills and management competences which will set them up for whatever they choose to undertake in later life. This requires dedication, organization and no shortage of skill, all of which I am delighted to say LacrosseThePond graduates exhibit in spades. Through their ongoing support and choosing the right fit for the athlete and Exeter, we are delighted to work in partnership with LacrosseThePond.”

The introduction of students on the LACROSSETHEPOND programme into your lacrosse program will bring instant and significant improvements. The lacrosse system that these student athletes participate in the USA is well developed; players are required to train 6 days a week for upwards of 2 hours a day and the standard is very high. This system requires a high level of commitment and focus from all athletes. The students coming through our program bring this dedication with them into their UK setting high standards and leading by example.
The LACROSSETHEPOND applicants will not only bring their skills and talent to your institution, they will also come equipped with a high level of tactical knowledge and coaching experience. They will be able to help your program develop, not only through their athletic performance, but through providing pointers and passing on tactical and technical knowledge to the surrounding players on the team.
