Anyway New Years Eve, what an awesome time. Alberto and I headed down to London for the event and we had a great time. I flew in the 29th and you could say that the first hostel we stayed at was a step above a piece of cardboard under an overpass. The main features were the holes in the walls of the bathroom that you saw right through, the fact that it was located on the top of a run down pub in the middle of an industrial park and our least favorite roommate, the black cat. I Would guesstimate that we were there for a total of 9 hours before we left and found this gem called Generator Hostel which was like a resort.
Other than the first hostel, all went smoothly. Alberto wasn’t leaving London without taking the walking picture across Abbey Road, I don’t know the album name sorry I’m not sorry. Needless to say I took more than enough pictures of people walking across that I didn’t need one of myself. That afternoon we also went and saw platform 9 3/4 to pay homage to the Harry Potter series. That night we went out to some place called KoKo, it was an old theatre with four floors, it was sick.
Day 2 was NYE, and we went for a walking tour of the main sites. We got to see all the touristy stuff which we couldn’t leave without doing. That night we camped out on the Waterloo Bridge with some adult beverages with a couple Chileans and Italians watching fireworks come out of the London Eye. I’m sure your NYE was just as awesome as mine.
Buckingham Palace – It was sweet, got to the see the guards standing outside in their fancy outfits and heard some cool attempted break in stories from our tour guide.
London Eye – It’s a huge ferris wheel, don’t really need to explain why thats awesome..
Fireworks – Even though we camped outside in the cold for 6 hours it was cool. They let you drink right on the street so it doesn’t cost much, and you get to hangout with a bunch of people doing the same thing as you. It’s pretty much just a huge party with thousands and thousands of people from all over the world.
As far as school goes, we submitted our assignments from last term this week and start back up again next week. Yay.
Lacrosse starts this weekend with a big game against Cheadle. The P-Town boys don’t have much margin for error during this stretch but I think we’ll make it into the top 4 come the end of the season.
