Mike Bartlett

Mike started playing lacrosse for Poynton when he was 12 and has played at every level within the club since, making his NEMLA premiership debut in the premiership at the age of 16.

Since then, Mike has gone on to represent Cheshire at every level from juniors up to seniors and featured in the England U19 training squad for the 2003 world championships as well as playing for the English Universities team in the National Championships.

Having played in the NEMLA, SEMLA and BUCS Premier divisions, Mike has an intricate understanding of English men’s lacrosse at all levels and regularly participates in tournaments across Europe and The US with his own touring team and as part of The Budmen in The States.

Mike manages the Poynton 1st Team in the NEMLA Premiership and coaches Poynton’s U16 & U19 teams as well as at regional (North-West) senior level also.

In his career outside of lacrosse, Mike is an internationally-experienced recruitment and resourcing management professional who has designed and delivered recruitment campaigns for FTSE100 companies including global graduate and post-graduate recruitment programmes, so is well-placed to understand the benefits of a further education within the business world.
